The 001 Deadlatch will automatically lock itself as soon as the door is closed making it easier for the user to operate. A disadvantage of this is that it can be quite easy to lock yourself out from the door slamming behind you if you not careful. The lock body and strike is made of high purity zinc alloy and the latch is made of stainless steel with a 18mm projection. The Lockwood 001 can be fitted to inward and outward opening doors and is suitable for timber and metal frames.. They are suitable for door thickness of between 28mm to 45mm and have a 60mm backset.
